Our Care provision is specifically designed to meet customer needs with the emphasis on enhancing the well-being of the individual.

Our Commitment to Service Users

We are committed to providing every customer with high standards of individual personalised care and attention within safe, conducive environments.

On the basis of this philosophy all staff are trained to provide a flexible and responsive service that ensures that all Care Plans fully take into account customers’ expressed preferences and contributes positively to the quality of their lives.

Care is provided to enable customers to remain in their own home with independence, choice, pride, privacy, safety, dignity and self-respect. Care provision is specifically designed to meet customer needs with the emphasis on enhancing the well-being of the individual.

Every customer is assigned a qualified experienced care assistant who undertakes a professional needs assessment which forms the basis for the provision of appropriate person-centred care. The resultant Care Plans clearly states individual wants and/or needs, and required level of care based upon their life history, personality, medical condition and preferences.

Care Plans are regularly reviewed to ensure customer needs continue to be met.

Where appropriate family members are involved as far as is practical in care decisions. Additionally, respite, and social and emotional support will be provided for home carers and their families when required.

Respite Care for Families

Respite Care provides short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home. Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, the physical, emotional and financial consequences for the family care giver can be overwhelming without some support, such as respite. Our respite programmes provide planned short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other unpaid care givers of children with a developmental delay and adults with an intellectual disability. Respite programmes support and maintain the primary care giving relationship, and provide a positive experience for the person receiving care.

Residential Home / Nursing Home Care

Our services to residential care homes and nursing care homes include provision to older people, children and their families, people with sensory loss including dual sensory impairment, people with mental health problems, and people with physical disabilities, dementia or terminal illness. Our staff provide personal care such as help with washing, dressing and assistance with prompting and administering medication.

Dementia Care

Our Dementia Care aims to positively enrich and enhance customers’ lives through a combination of personal and practical support.  We place emphasis on the value of individual lives regardless of age or cognitive ability, recognising the uniqueness or each person’s wants, needs and personal circumstances. Our staff  aim to understand the world from the perspective of the service user and provide professional support to address psychological needs.

Supervised Contact

We work with the local authorities and private clients to ensure that demands for Supervised Contacts are met, determining the suitability of parents to have custody of their children. The service provided is of benefit to all involved, including parents, social workers, children, foster parents, siblings and solicitors. We provide appropriately trained and qualified independent workers to supervise the contact sessions, and then prepare comprehensive reports for the social worker about the contact sessions. By providing a service that is flexible and accessible to all, we  can help to ensure that those who are able to have supervised access to their children can, and at the same time ensure that the vulnerable children are protected throughout their visits.  We also monitor family break ups, and our trained and experienced employees give professional opinions based upon their knowledge of the relationships.
