Sit in Service (Respite Care)

Every hardworking carer deserves a break sometimes. A little break helps to clear your head, get rejuvenated, make you fresh and strong to carry on. Who then do you leave your loved one with? That is the question.

At Unique, our Respite Care service is designed to ensure that the same level of care is delivered to your client or loved one in your absence. Our strict care standards and friendly approach to care delivery ensures that you do not lose the loving care you have come to expect from your regular carer.

Our respite care is done one-to-one, so we can best understand your needs and give you the best care. Your regular carer apart from having a break can be in hospital or have certain emergencies that demand his/her inevitable absence. At Unique, we have designed a service that can fill this short-term requirement without pain.

Respite Care for families

Respite Care provides short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home. Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, the physical, emotional and financial consequences for the family care giver can be overwhelming without some support, such as respite.

Our respite programmes provide planned short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other unpaid care givers of children with a developmental delay and adults with an intellectual disability.  Respite programmes support and maintain the primary care giving relationship, and provide a positive experience for the person receiving care.
